Recall on 10 Million Lbs. of Peaches Gets Important FDA Update

Affecting 11 peach varieties, the event touched 39 states, serving as another reminder of how far downstream a single grower issue can ripple.

Peaches are a source of vitamins A and C, potassium, and fiber. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) added an update to an earlier recall. Eleven varieties of peaches were pulled from market starting in late October 2025 due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The FDA reports the recall as terminated, likely meaning all tasks have been satisfactorily addressed. Listeria are a type of foodborne microbe that can proliferate even in colder temperatures. The recalled peaches were shipped to Canada, Mexico, and 39 U.S. states. Moonlight Packaging Company appears to be a major peach supplier.
