Spiced Apple Chips

Ingredients

  • 3 medium honeycrisp apples, cores removed and thinly sliced on a mandolin (about the thickness of a quarter)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom

Directions

Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Place the sliced apples in a large bowl. Add the spices and toss with your hands until every slice is evenly coated.

Arrange the apple slices on the prepared baking sheets in a single layer. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, then flip the slices. Continue baking for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, until the chips are crisp.

Turn off the oven and leave the apple chips inside as it cools.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
