Saturday, August 8th was the Invitational Day that included 28 of the best powerlifters in the world stepping onto the platform to attempt breaking records and earning part of the $25,000 purse that was on the line. The competition featured a range of divisions, including women’s and men’s categories, with lifters competing for top honors and the chance to set new world records. The event was attended by a large audience and streamed live on various platforms, allowing viewers around the world to follow the action. Notable performances included Brittany Bowles, who earned Best Lifter honors in the women’s division with a total of 581 kilograms (1,281 pounds), while John Haack set a new record in the men’s 100-kilogram division with a total of 1,044 kilograms (2,302 pounds). Other notable lifters included Marina Castillo Pardo, who took second overall in the Best Lifter rankings and set a new world record for her division with a 227.5-kilogram squat, and Leonetta Richardson, who scored a 232.5-kilogram deadlift to take top honors in her division.
