Popular Ice Cream Bars Recalled by At Least One Supermarket
A favorite Northeastern grocery chain says customers who bought these products are entitled to refund.
In a time when specialty ice cream brands fill the supermarket freezer case, classic chocolate bar brand names like Reese’s and Almond Joy still make products under Good Humor. Recently, Magnum Ice Cream Company issued a recall notice for all 12-ounce, six-count boxes of Reese’s and Almond Joy Good Humor ice cream bars due to inaccurately declared nutritional information on the carton. The issue was identified through an internal review conducted by Magnum. However, it is unclear whether this problem would affect individuals with food allergies, sensitivities, or intolerances. The affected products have a UPC of 00084047340024 for Reese’s ice cream bars and 00084047340029 for Almond Joy. Customers who purchased these products are eligible for a full refund with proof of purchase. This is the third known ice cream recall in recent weeks, following a Pennsylvania-based regional dairy's recall of their ice cream ingredients from Dairy Queen locations due to concerns about foreign matter in some soft-serve blends.
